Not exactly...he said he was honored that one of his idols - Elvis - sang one of his songs. But he clearly stated, repeatedly, that Jimi's version of "Watchtower" was his favorite version of one of his songs, and I've been fortunate enough to see the great white dwarf do it that way... wonderful...for all of us.

This is the best version ever of this song. Truly amazing, with the late 70's Budokan/Gospel sound. I cried when I heard this version a few years ago, had it from Napster with a much lower quality. Thanks for sharing.
